Cube House
location: Romania, Corunca
The site is in a high position overlooking a countryside landscape dominated by scattered solitary buildings.
The house
fits in by its square plan. It is a regular, unidirectional shape. In order to keep the image of a
massive block all the openings
are concentrated in the middle, emphasizing the structure. The spaces on the
ground and top floor are generated by the
central spiral stair. On the ground floor the result is an open space
that can be modulated by sliding doors and the first floor
is divided in two bedroom areas, both have their own
services and dressing.
